Who Are We?

Begun in 2009, Holiday Breads is the primary event to raise money for the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies-Muskegon (CHGS). Muskegon County Cooperating Churches is the fiduciary for CHGS. The primary bakers are Chris Anderson, a retired Lutheran pastor; Matthew Scott, a baker for an area company; De Scott, Matt’s spouse and office worker at First Baptist Church.
Our breads are made and baked in the certified and licensed kitchen at First Baptist Church in Muskegon Michigan.
Our breads are sold and orders picked up at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church on the three Saturdays before Christmas (usually the first three Saturdays of December).
All funds raised go to the CHGS-Muskegon to cover the costs of three annual programs.

What We Offer

Our breads come from European and Jewish cultural and ethnic traditions. They include breads from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic, Republic of Slovakia, Eastern Europe. They are breads made around festivals and holidays.
